It is a delicious vegetable that I knew in Navarra (Spain); it is normally boiled with potatoes and served with olive oil. Now as you see I cultivate it at home. The leaves and branches are covered with whitish thorny bristles. The whole leaves and the thorny bristles must first be removed from the branches; it is an arduous labour. But finally you’ll have your gift having a nutritive and delicious vegetable dish.
